About Us.

We are African Institute for Children Studies (AICS)

AICS is a Pan-African non-profit organization with headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. We are a knowledge management and capacity building organization, committed to the best interest of children and communities. We facilitate locally owned and led innovative programs and policy reforms to promote child and community wellbeing in Africa. We achieve these goals working with and collaborating with different stakeholders including governments, academia, the civil society and communities

AICS was founded and first registered in Kenya in 2009 followed by South Sudan 2011, Uganda 2015, Zimbabwe 2018 and Arizona, USA in 2021. It has a multi-disciplinary expert pool from across Africa, Europe and Americas. We are keen to broaden the network of institutions and individual experts across the globe to facilitate capacity sharing and advocacy for more responsive programming and public financing, in the best interest of children and communities
